With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nathan Mordecai of Millport, Alabama, born in Vernon, Alabama, who passed away on April 16, 2021 at the age of 50. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Mable Jane Mordecai; his stepmother Lella Mae Mordecai; his brother William Leonard; his grandparents, John and Rosielee Mordecai; and his uncle Donald Ray Mordecai.

He is survived by: his father John Robert Mordecai (Betty) of Millport, AL; his children, Nate Mordecai, Jr. of Millport, AL, Anna Bella Mordecai of Millport, AL and Heather Mordecai; his siblings, Dorinda Smith and Anthony Turner; his stepsiblings, Missy Welch, Funisha Leaonard, Sandy Hayes, Jeff Leonard, Gary Hayes and Keith Hayes; and his close friend Heather Springfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
