She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen Stokes and Velina Agnus Stokes (Bobbitt); her stepfather Troy Dayton Gann; and her grandson Bradley Austin Hawkins. She is survived by: her husband Edwin Wharton; her children, Garry Lynn Wharton, Melinda Ann Hawkins (Stacey), Tania Michelle Willard (Brian) and Ashley Forehand (Paul); her sisters, Barbara Jewell (Larry), Karen Holliman (Ken), Judy Wiggins and Hilda Holliman (Robert); and her godchild Jaci Emily Williams.
