We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2025, at the age of 79, James Murphy of Millport, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earle and Ellen Elizabeth Murphy (Woodbury); and his siblings, Ellen Marie Hacker and William Thomas Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Murphy of Millport, AL; his sons, Nathan Andrew Murphy of Vernon, AL and John Daniel Murphy of Ogden, UT; his brother Michael Earle Murphy (Susan) of Caledonia, MS; his grandson Austin James Murphy; and his sister-in-law Sarah Joanna Murphy.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (8901 AL-18, Vernon, AL 35592). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
