He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah S. Billingsley and Otis Smith; and his brother William D. Simmons.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Adams-Buggs Funeral Service ~ Etowah Chapel (401 N 9th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Adams-Buggs Funeral Service~ Clay Chapel (85251 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Simmons Cemetery.
