He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Rice (Bobby Mitchell) and Dianna Silas; and his siblings, Debra Bounds (Mickey), Sandra Kimbrough (Johnny) and Randy McCoy (Kim). He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elmore County Humane Shelter, 2955 Central Plank Road, Wetumpka, AL 36092 in his memory.
