She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Odenbach Ziegler and Elizabeth Ann Till Ziegler; and her daughter Sarah Elizabeth Black Duke. She is survived by: her son Jason Jacques (Erica); her siblings, Eddie Ziegler (Mary Rae), Lisa Player (Tony), Gaye Bracknell (Tommy) and Jennifer; and her cousin Shane. She is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robinson Springs United Methodist Church, 5980 Main Street, Millbrook, AL 36054 in her memory.
