He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Kin Knight and Rebecca Annie Holladay Knight; and his son Joe Hardy Knight, Jr. (Joe). He is survived by: his children, James R. Knight (Barbara), Donald G. Knight, Linda K. Gibson and Melissa Knight; and his sisters, Emogene Bryan, Carolyn Frady, Margaret Agee (Kin), Ernestine Lewis and Rebecca Puckett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
