He was predeceased by: his parents, Herb Chapman Jr. and Lula Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Cody, Cory and Cassie Lu; his brothers, Joel (Jan), Jon (Robin) and Jere; and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Kason and Karlee.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hunter Hills Church of Christ (330 Old Farm Ln N, Prattville, AL 36066). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at the Zeigler Cemetery.
