He was predeceased by: his parents, Judy Gary and Gary Hood Sr. Gary. He is survived by: his wife Amber Hood; his sons, Gary Hood III and James Hood; and his sisters, Pam Hood, Rita Hood and Dawn Hood James (Jesse). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Guardian Credit Union under the name "Memorial Fund for Gary Hood," account ending in ##69, which will be used to ensure that his sons will be able to complete the educational goals that Gary had wished for them.
