He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Lamar Brown and Ollie B. Holmes Brown; his daughter Emily Susan Brown; and his siblings, Nadine Shouse, Christine Dove, Rex Brown and Rufus Thad Brown.

He is survived by : his wife Frances Brown; his daughter Sandy L. Stewart (James); his grandchildren, Jacob Reed Stewart (Brittany) and Lindsey Katherine Myung (Richard); and his great grandchildren, Cameron Stewart (Cami), Brody Stewart, Reed Stewart, Paxton Myung, Maddox Myung and Beckett Myung. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at the Greenwood Cemetery (909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
