He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Elizabeth Sharp Mullins; his parents, Eugene Mullins and Evie Oneal Maddox Mullins; his siblings, Ethel Lee Dobbs (Reedie), Etta Kendrick (Earnest), Myrtle Dobbs (Harvey), Truitt Griffin (Bit), Aileen Mims (William), Myrtice Baker (Alton), Ernestine Mullins, Annie Patterson (Herschel), Bobbye Devaughn (Hubert), Hazel Littlejohn, Arnold Washington Mullins (Mattie Lou), Cary Mullins (Gatie), Toy Mullins (Ellen) and Cornelius Mullins (Audrey); and his brother-in-law Tom Green.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Jo Mikell (Mike) and Richard Eugene Mullins (Sharon); his grandchildren, Rebecca Anne Mullins Crow (Wayne), Joy Elizabeth Mikell Portis (Cole), Kimberly Delaine Mikell Bond (Patrick) and Richard Scott Mullins (Rebecca); his sister Euna Pearl Green; and his brother-in-law Orville Littlejohn. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Millbrook Baptist Church.
