He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ell Evans and Annie B. Carpenter Evans; his children, Charles Leon Evans, Jr. and Tami Wilson; his brother Thomas "Tom" Herschel Evans; his nephews, Jeremy Norrell and Cole Evans; his mother-in-law Willie Mae Killingsworth; and his friends, Jack Autry and James Giles.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Evans; his children, Eddie Evans, Michell Conner (Jason) and Maria Caraballo (Israel); his sister Peggy Evans Norrell (Jerry); and his nephew Mike Evans (Sharon). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren.
