She is survived by: her pet Kiara; her children, Nelson Grooms (Charlie Mae), Melvin Grooms (Cassandra), Linda Battle, Margaret Bentford Montgomery (Kenneth), Sharone Ivey Montgomery (late Howard), Veronica and Chamika (Jesse); her grandchildren, Byron Grooms, Jamaal Grooms (Shemika), Xavier Bentford, Cortez Grooms, Desiree Bentford, Kalandria Smith (Shontavious), Howard Ivey III (Alicia), Samuel Battle III, LaCoria Brown (Jonathan), Jamarcus Grooms, Khadejia Fitzpatrick, Derrica Harris, Eboni Grooms, JaMaya Grooms, Erica Lee and Kamron Grooms; her siblings, Ozie B. Bowens, Evelyn Streeter, Celestine Cunningham (Keith), Ethel (late William Ford), Eloise Shepherd, Julia Bowens, Annie B. Smith, Cherry Herrington (Vernon), Demetria Green (Daniel), Curtis C. Bowens, Otis Bowens (Jeanette), Remell Bowens, Larnell Bowens (Shirley), Leon Bowens, Jammie Bowens (Elaine), Joseph Smith (Gloria) and James Bowens; her uncle Don (Sherry); her nephew Dewayne Bowens (Brenda); and her cousins, Anna Hillary and Eddie Bowens (Paullette).
