He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Barnes and Ida Mae Sasser Barnes; his wife Carolyn Carnley Barnes; and his siblings, Kay Hall, Wannell Barnes, Carlton Barnes, Troy Barnes and Roland Barnes.
He is survived by: his pet Sam; his children, Donna Barnes Morin (Michael) of Phenix City, AL and Harold Jeffrey Barnes (Amy); his brother E. C. Barnes; his brother-in-law Donald Carnley; his grandchildren, Carrie McKnight, Andy Smith (Hope), Shanda Stallard (Dustin), Rachael Beasley (Brad), Lee Barnes and Jade Barnes; and his great grandchildren, Shaelee McKnight, Carter McKnight, Caroline Beasley, Damon Smith, Riley Smith, Gage Norwalk, Riley Elmore, Conner Stallard, Hannah Stallard and Preston Stallard.
