He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin John Gerber and Mary Sue Powers Lambert; and his grandparents, Daniel Floyd Powers, Clynora Martin Powers, Ernest and Marie Gerber.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Hall Gerber of Midland City; his stepfather Millard L. Lambert of Taylor; his children, Kayla Gerber Berry (Caelan) of Gallatin, TN, Brianna Gerber of Huntsville, Brad McKnight (Sheila) of Wicksburg, Chad McKnight (Ana) of Midland City and Matt McKnight of Midland City; his brothers, Brett Gerber (Jan) of Dothan and Richard Gerber (Kathy) of Dothan; his grandchildren, Bryce McKnight, Dylan McKnight, Savannah McKnight, Kaylee McKnight, Easton McKnight, Sawyer McKnight, Leighana Lee, Liberty Fountain, Chelsea Weldon, Tyler Weldon and Isaac Berry; and his parents-in-law, Louise and George Hall. He is also survived by brother and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
