We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2024, at the age of 86, Gerard William Hoole of Midland City, Alabama, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gerard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry Hoole; and his stepdaughter Tracey Fortune. He is survived by: his adoptive daughter Harlie Hammonds (D. J.) of Midland City; his stepchildren, Melissa Wall (Bob) of Clanton, Keith Marsh (Janice) of Clanton, Lori Summerlin (Allen Metcalf) of Columbia, Chris Marsh (Bertha) of Ashford and Kyle Marsh of Millbrook; and his children, Karen Lynn of Slocomb and Gary Hoole of Dothan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
