She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hill and Catherine Hill of Bristol, Virginia.; and her former husband James W. Calhoun, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Garland Helbert; her children, Jim Calhoun (Jan) of Harvest, Kathy Christy of Madison, Tommy Calhoun (Angela) of Decatur and Lynn Helbert (Debbie) of Abingdon, VA.; and her grandchildren, Lauren Yancey, James Calhoun, Chelsea Carter, Daniel Christy, Claudia Upshaw, Caitlin Calhoun, Morgan Gean, Jason Coots, Shannon Clyne and Jennifer Farmer. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee in memory of Mary Ann Helbert.
