She was predeceased by: her parents, Kony Weaver and Simmie Weaver; her son Ben Byrd; her grandchildren, Dana Byrd and Chester Lee Byrd; her sisters, Margie Weaver, Emma Johnston and Inez Scarborough; and her close friend Terry Harrison.

She is survived by: her children, Stanley Byrd (Sheila), Bobby Byrd (Kattie) and Taylor Byrd (Hanna); her grandchildren, Leslie Goodman (Terry), Bobbie Mairena (Omar), Marley Snow (Lance), Travis Byrd and Kelsey Norman (Todd); and her siblings, Johnny Weaver (Regina), Ralph Weaver (Sharon) and Pam Smart. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
