She was predeceased by: her husband William T. Potts; her son John Weaver; her grandsons, Jeremy Fields and Patrick Handley; and her parents, Melton Weaver and Augusta Weaver.
She is survived by: her children, Vance Reed (Deanna), Phyllis Nelson (Ray), Troy Reed Sr. (Shirley), Gregory Reed and Ingran Simmons (Pat); and her siblings, Lula Bell, Arrie Lee, Claudett, Annie, Shirley, Melton, Johnny, Vera and Rodney. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
