He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie McDonald, Sr. and Sarah Ann Adams McDonald; and his siblings, Hiram McDonald, Clarence McDonald, Clamor Glen Jackson, Alma McGraw and Curtis McDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Walters McDonald of St. Stephens, Alabama; his children, Jasper McDonald, Jr. (Tywanda) of McIntosh, Stephen McDonald (Emily) of Jackson, Craig Moses (Grace) of McComb, Cindy Peters (Stanley) of Ellisville, Mesha Ynetta McDonald of Mobile and Lolitha Williams of Malcolm, Alabama; and his brother Jessie McDonald, Jr. (Rachel) of McIntosh. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
