He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Reed (Perry) and Theodore Reed; and his former wife Clara Chestang Reed. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Cox; his children, Clint Reed (Gina) and Ashley Chestang Byrd (Jimmy); his brother Collie Reed (Sylvia Jean); his grandchildren, Casey Reed (Ashley), Austin Reed (Loran) and Haley Johnson (Terry); and his great grandchildren, Anna Clare, Charlee, Carlee, Aniya Reed, Emma, Allie, Riley Reed and Roman Reed. He is also survived by 4 step-great-grandchildren, 3 nephews, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Magnolia Holiness Church (3095 John Johnston Rd, McIntosh, AL 36553). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Magnolia Cemetery (3095 John Johnston Rd, McIntosh, AL 36553).
