With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Ray Martin (McCalla, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ray and Betty Jean Martin; his former wife Dana Jill Martin; his grandmother Dana Jill Martin; his daughter Amy Ray Martin; and his siblings, Louise Martin, Randy Martin, Robin Martin and Roy Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Jeanette Hopkins Martin; his sister Gloria Dean Gibson (James); his daughters, Angelia Jill Martin (Jacob), Tera Pullen (Dorian) and Tammy Boyd (Robert); his grandchildren, Alisha Martin, Shalee Gaytan (Alvaro), Brady Martin (Breanna), Sierra Martin, Robbie Fanning, Christian Walden, Kaleb Winfrey (Andrea), Hannah Walden Phillips (Mason), Tyler Winfrey, Josh Winfrey and McKaylee Boyd; his great grandchildren, Ethan Martin, Emma Nolen, Cruz Gaytan, Evan Martin, Addelia Gaytan, Annalee Martin, Sawyer Brasher, Jack Fanning-Cooley, Kristlyn Walden, Spade Fanning and Ace Phillips; and his brother Thomas Jackson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McCalla Memorial Funeral Home (4780 Letson Farms Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
