He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Nixon and Helen Nixon; and his sister Learlie Busby. He is survived by: his wife Latha Wilson Nixon; his children, Katie Lynn Nixon, Michael DeWayne Nixon (Lisa) and Karen M. Walden (Gary); and his grandchildren, Gary Walden Jr. (Rebecca), Natalie Nixon, Joseph Nixon and Jon Zachary Nixon.
