In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Horace and Mildred Johnson; and his brother Billy Johnson. He is survived by: his sons, David Johnson and Billy Johnson (Crissy); his granddaughter Madyson Johnson; his sister JoAnn Crane (Wilburn); his stepmother Jean Johnson; and his stepsister Bobbie Johnson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Valhalla Cemetery (839 Wilkes Rd, Birmingham, AL 35228).
