She was predeceased by: her parents, A. C. McConnell and Lelia McConnell; her husband J. D. Scott; her former husband Lidge Lambert; her son Wesley Scott; and her stepchildren, Steve Lambert and Deborah McQuade.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Hilburn (Carl Hilburn); her daughter-in-law Gail Scott; her stepson Terry Lambert; her grandchildren, Michelle Kirtley, Darlene Mauldin, Matthew Scott and Jason Scott; her stepgrandchildren, Chase Glass and Sarah Lambert; her great grandchildren, Ethan Kirtley, Philip Kirtley, Isaiah Kirtley, Ruth Kirtley, Sophia Mauldin, Samuel Mauldin and Lydia Mauldin; her brother A. C. McConnell, Jr.; and her nieces and nephews, Guy, Kerry and Greg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Because of Dot's love for WMU and missions, donations to Annie Armstrong Missions Offering, Eastern Valley Baptist Church, 1216 Potter Avenue, Bessemer, Ala 35020 are appreciated, as are flowers, which she also loved.
