He was predeceased by: his sisters, Patsy Jones Clifton and Edwina Gilbert Greenwood (Lois Norris Gilbert) of Oak Grove, Alabama.. He is survived by: his daughter Vickie H. Ames; his grandson Timothy L. Ames (Ashley Ames); his great grandchild Kayleigh E. Ames; his sister Connie Hartsfield; and his wife Lois Gilbert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Big Oak Ranch.
