It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Maxine Laney of Marion, Alabama, born in Shelby, Alabama, who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Laney and Mattie Laney; and her brother Marshall Laney. She is survived by: her daughter Terry Laney Reid of Marion; her siblings, Martha Smith (Leon) of Valley Grande, AL, Gail James (Sonny) of Alabaster, AL and Clyde Laney (Carol) of Elba, AL; her granddaughter Lindsay Reid of Marion; and her great grandchild Noelle Brooks.
