Bates; her daughters, Tatandia Bates of Marion, Alabama, Natasha Bates of Marion, Alabama and Dornessa Bates of Marion, Alabama; her grandchildren, Asiah Dunnican, Deviontis Dunnican, De'Ziah Brooks and Denver Dunnican; her siblings, Kenneth Bates of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mary Flowers (Gary), Latonia Bates of Marion, Alabama, Rosa Bates, Cassandra Paige (Christopher) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Wesley Bates of Moundville, Alabama; her son Daniel Brooks of Marion, Alabama; her cousin Doris Bates of Marion, Alabama; her close friends, Bernice Green, Sherita Foster-Sanders, Roxanne Hogan and Gloria Clemons; and her friends, Harold Kynard and Tyrone Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
