With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sandra Ruth Horton of Marion, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sandra left this world on April 6, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Sandra leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cullen Plaxico and Doris Cathel Brishke Plaxico; and her husband Joseph Horton, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Crystalyn Metcalf (Daniel), Shannon Dwiggins (Robert) and Joseph Horton, Jr. (Bridget). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
