She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos F. Ingram and Ellie Mae Williams Ingram; her husband Howard Averette, Jr.; her siblings, Ruth Carter, Lois Mitchell, Margaret Carter, Otha Ingram and Jessie W. Ingram; and her grandson Steven Averette.
She is survived by: her children, Ruby Jean Spence (Charles), Sherry Darlene Tubbs (Larry), Tracy Rebecca Horton (Doug), Randy Averette (Diane), Donald Ray Averette (Kay) and Stanley Wade Averette. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church's general fund or the cemetery fund.
