He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Alexander Barnett, Sr. and Emma Lou Harrison Barnett. He is survived by: his daughters, Gayle Barnett Westmorland (Benny), Camille Barnett Rivenbark (Lee) and Clair Barnett Riggs (LLoyd); his grandchildren, Tripp Westmorland (Laura), Emily Crawford Rivenbark Hicks, David Rivenbark (Kaylee), Harrison Riggs (Taylor), Griffin Riggs, Stephen Riggs (Kaylin), Ashley Riggs Sarnicola and Ryan Riggs; and his great grandchildren, Alexandra "Allie" Blake Westmorland, Hudson Thomas Riggs, Harris Lee Hicks, Jiavanna Sarnicola and Nicklas Riggs Sarnicola.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Siloam Baptist Church or the Marion Cemetery.

“Roy was a special person. He had a loving personality. He enjoyed his life with the love of his life, Inez. They both were an influential couple in Marion and mentors to many. Thoughts and prayers to his girls Gayle, Clair, and Camille and their families. Such a loss to Marion but such a gain in Heaven. His sense of humor will have the angels laughing. He made such an impact on my life. I have 2 of his paintings in my house. I will treasure them forever. RIP Roy!❤️ Mary Ellen Cole”
