He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arthur Marcus Jr. and Marjorie Hughey; his mother-in-law Erma Earle Oakes Anderson; and his siblings-in-law, Marion Judith Anderson Davis and Thaddeus Jones Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Kay Anderson; his children, Jaan Susan Marcus Talton (Thomas Gregory Talton), Sara Ruth Marcus Berry (Mark Charles Berry) and Robert Bryan Marcus (Richard Edward Morrison Jr.); his grandsons, John Edward "Jack" Talton and Charles Hunter Berry; and his siblings-in-law, Hugh Patrick Ivey, John Walter Anderson Jr., Donald Alvin White, Claude Dudley Anderson, Theresa King Anderson, Theresa Anderson White and Caroline Hollinger Anderson. He is also survived by extended family, including aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
