With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Eugene Garrison of Marion, Alabama, who passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tennis W. Garrison and Ernestine Morrow Garrison of Plantersville, Alabama.; and his wife DaNelle Lawrence Garrison. He is survived by: his children, Paul Garrison (Diana) and Elizabeth Cammack (Tom); his sister Katherine Rotker (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Brad Averitt (Mary Margaret), Katherine Gunter (Wesley), Sarah Garrison, Kevin Garrison, Joshua Garrison (Selina) and Amy Garrison (Timo); his great grandchildren, Whitman Averitt and Elaine Garrison; and his caregivers, Lashondar Nelson, Mary Tarver, Frederica Jones and Oliver Eaton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
