He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Ella B., Joe Files and William Files; his sons, Eddie Javon and Herman "Red"; his wife Charlotte; his children, Larry White (Ruby), Doug White (Toni), James White, Terry White, Tommy Joe White, Ann White and Janet White; his brothers, Curley Johnson (Jessica), John "Mike" Johnson (Antoinette), Zebedee Johnson (Melanie), Joe Johnson (Tammie) and Willie Files (Brenda); his brother-in-law Pearson Miles; and his sisters, Dorothy Hollis (Robert, Jr.), Mittie Williams (Eugene), Barbara, Sallie Peterson, Jr. (Lloyd), Saundra Johnson, Maria Brown (Clyde), Dorothy Wilson (Oscar) and Martha Files. He was also cherished by six sisters-in-law (four deceased); seven brothers-in-law (five deceased); 36 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews.
