He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeremiah Van Nichols and Gillie Nichols; and his siblings, Max Nichols, Lloyd Nichols, Leslie Nichols, Charles Nichols and Gladys Mosley.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Gail Oreher Nichols; his daughters, Cheryl Faye Nichols McLaurin and Laurin Rae Nichols Friday; his sisters, Billie Taylor and Joanne White; and his grandchildren, Amanda Hackler and Kyle McLaurin. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
