Franklin D. Sumlin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2022, at the age of 88, Franklin D. Sumlin of Marion, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Sumlin and Estelle Wyatt Sumlin; his wife Ann Ruth Hester Sumlin; and his siblings, Lorene Britton and Edwin Sumlin.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Sumlin (Rene), Dana Hooks, David Sumlin, Donna Grimm and Dennis Sumlin (Joyce); and his sister Christine Kowalski (Eddie). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested no flowers but that contributions be made to Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa or Marion Military Institute.
