He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, George S. Breland and Velma Lee Stevens Breland; and his siblings, Moreland (Etoyle), Woodfin (May), Grady (Leona), Loftin (Lucille), Austin (Bertha), Edwin (Hazel), Loualma Bamberg, Cora B. Mitchell, Myrtle HolifiIeld, Maudine Burnette and Opal Clements. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
