He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Down and Alice Lucille Holden Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Leenette Jones Edwards; his children, Lisa Edwards Martin (Alan "Mo"), Scott Edwards (Kelley) and Mike Edwards; and his siblings, Dolly Aaronson, Paulette Jones, Charlie Edwards, Allan Edwards and Tommy Edwards. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
