He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Green Potts and Alton Earl Potts. He is survived by: his wife Beth Bloodworth Potts; his daughters, Kristin Potts Helton (John) and Shannon Louise Potts (Phil); his grandchildren, Gavin, Harper, John David, Laura Beth, Levi, Patch, Ryder and Teague; and his sister Elizabeth "Libby" Louise Potts (Dale Peterson).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Judson College, Sowing Seeds of Hope, Siloam Baptist Church, or Marion Academy.
