He is survived by: his close friend Mary Melton; and his children, Steve Middlebrooks (Terri) of Selma, Carl Middlebrooks of Marion, Larry Melton of Oxford and Christine Melton of Marion. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
