She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hudson and Alberta Hudson; her husband Obie Carmichael, Sr.; her daughter Sheila Carmichael Irby; and her siblings, Josephine Hopkins, Lizzie Mae Blevins and Walter Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Obie Carmichael, Jr. (Charunzy), Terry Carmichael (Diana) of Selma, Stanley Carmichael of Nashville, Tennessee, Brenda Carmichael, Veronica Carmichael, Vanessa McMillian (Kendrick), Candace Carmichael of Selma and Lakeesha Green (Robert) of Madison; and her brothers, George Hudson of Selma, James Hudson (Kathy), John Hudson and Peter Hudson of California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
