He is survived by: his children, Lynn Witherspoon (Charles), John Thomas Watson, III and David Alexander Watson; his grandchildren, Sarah Watson, Charlie Witherspoon (Chelsea), John Witherspoon, Ashley Wyatt, Alex Watson and Elizabeth Watson; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Witherspoon, Olivia Witherspoon and Maggie Wyatt.
