He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Heald and Grace Heald; his wife Margaret Simmons (Peggy); his son Todd; and his siblings, Betty Warrington, Beverly Blair and Arthur Luvene Heald.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Schwartz (Patrick) of New Vienna, Jennifer Gaumnitz (Michael) of Lenexa and Annette Walter (John) of Auxvasse, Missouri; his grandchildren, Amanda Schwartz of Dyersville, Phylicia Chandler (Thomas) of Ashland, Zachary Schwartz of Eugene, Grace Rebhorn (Andrew) of Madison and John Gaumnitz (Emily) of Overland Park, Kansas; and his great grandchild Olivia Chandler of Ashland, Oregon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
