He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliffie Mary Freeman and Hershell Baskin Freeman; and his daughter Margaret Ann Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hickman Freeman; his children, Gary Wayne Freeman Jr. (Jeanae) and Elizabeth Freeman Jackman (Mike); his granddaughters, Meghan Freeman Wright (Ben), Margaret Ann Jackman and Mary Elizabeth Jackman; and his brother-in-law David Paul Hickman (Vickie). He is also survived by two nieces; and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Gadsden, or the Big Oak Ranch.
