He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobo L. Hicks and Sophie Mae Matthews; his siblings, Jean Cook, Dorothy and Johnny Rush; and his wife Bettie Jo.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Hansen (Kirk), Pamela White, Marcus Hicks, Penelope Butler (Rickey), Conrad Hicks, Sherrie Hicks and Corey Hitt; his great grandchildren, Tiffany Perry (Demarius), LaQuita Curtis, Miesha Mason (Corey), Shannon Mickens, Chad Mickens (Tiffany), Trenton White (John), Amber Prowell (Quintez), Tierany White, Amanda Hicks, Shala Mickens, Myles Hicks (Maya), Matthew Hicks, Mason Anderson, Rakia Butler, Rylan, Kori, Kannon Mason, Aidan Richardson, Anilah Prowell, Kennedi, Kamryn Hicks, Aubree Crump, Olivia Jo Mickens and Jasmine Mickens; his daughter-in-law Carla Hicks; his brothers, Larry Hicks (Barbara) and James Lee (Rowena); his brothers-in-law, Don and Michael Pickett; his aunt Christine Porter; his great-nephew Justice Carter; and also Toledo. He is also survived by co-worker, and then became close friends.
