With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loreda Johnson Nelson of Marbury, Alabama, who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Loreda Johnson had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Loreda Johnson may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Houston Nelson; her brother Wade Johnson; her great grandchild Gavin Roeder; and her son-in-law Johnny Till. She is survived by: her children, Gail Till and Robert Donald "Don" Nelson (Genene); her grandchildren, Regina Roeder (Michael) and Matthew Nelson; and her great grandchild Hudson Roeder. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (6191 Lightwood Rd, Deatsville, AL 36022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
