She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Wilkins Sims and Alpha Mae Payne Sims; her husband Cecil Turpin Calloway; and her siblings, W. L. Sims, Sonny Sims, Willie Sims, Clyde Sims, Gerald Sims and Loree Hyde Jenkins.

She is survived by: her son William "Billy" Gary Calloway; her siblings, Harold Sims and Jane Clayton; and her grandson William Gary Calloway, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
