She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Veazey and Florence Cummings Veazey; her husband Harold Poland; and her siblings, Novie Jean Veazey Bray and Bobby Veazey.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Poland (Kaylynn), James Poland (Paige), Nelda LeCroy (Jay) and Clarice Shuman (Jim); her stepdaughter Dawn Wisman (Earl); her siblings, Jack Poland, Dee Poland and Annette Veazey (Clark); and her sisters-in-law, Jean Poland and Dorothy Veazey. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
