She was predeceased by: her parents, P. J. Waldrop and Jessie Gibson Waldrop; her husbands, Horace McGee and Arlington B. Cates; and her siblings, Lee Waldrop, Mellie Mae Brown and J. P. Waldrop.

She is survived by: her children, Jimmy McGee (Janice), Ann Hayes (David), Horace McGee (Betty), Carol Mott (Bud) and Betty Brewer (Chad). She is also survived by Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
