He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie J. Howard and Mary Wells; and his siblings, Anthony Howard, Mary Franklin Harrison, Sherry Wright and Susan Price.

He is survived by: his wife Ann; his son Dewayne (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Logan and Blake Howard; and his siblings, Larry Howard and Donna Buchanan (Frank). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
